ASL Tour:
Singular Visions

FRI, Jun 22, 2012
6 pm

Join us for a free tour in American Sign Language of the new installation of Singular Visions, without voice interpretation. The tour begins at 7 pm, with a free pre-tour reception from 6–7 pm.

At a time when images barrage us everywhere from our televisions to our mobile phones, the latest reinstallation of the Whitney’s permanent collection galleries invites visitors to slow down and experience art in a dramatic new way. Singular Visions presents twelve highlights from the Museum’s holdings, each in its own space, in order to create intimate and compelling encounters with a single work of art.

The following artists are currently included in Singular Visions: Jonathan Borofsky, Alexander Calder, Eva Hesse, Matthew Day Jackson, Jasper Johns, Lee Krasner, Len Lye, Agnes Martin, Josephine Meckseper, and Fred Wilson.

Please note: we regret that complimentary tickets will no longer be available for ASL students. Museum staff/interpreters will not be able to sign student assignments.

Admission to tour and reception is free. Registration is required; RSVP to asl_tours@whitney.org. Please bypass the admissions line and pick up your tickets at the check-in location in the Museum lobby.
