The eighty-first edition of the Whitney Biennial—the longest-running survey of contemporary art in the United States—features seventy-one artists and two collectives grappling with many of today’s most pressing issues. The accompanying catalogue features 175 color illustrations, a collaborative essay by Chrissie Iles and Meg Onli, and essays from curators and scholars which surface specific themes.

To celebrate Whitney Biennial 2024: Even Better Than the Real Thing, we have collaborated with Los Angeles fashion/multimedia brand Total Luxury Spa on a capsule of exclusive clothing and gift items. Aligned with the themes of the Biennial, the styles explore ideas of “the real” nature, process, digitization, artifice, hyperrealism—a myriad of subjectivity in an ever-evolving cultural landscape.
