Whitney Staff Orientation on the new Renzo Piano building and the inaugural installation, America Is Hard to See

Wednesday, March 18, 2015 The Standard Hotel, Highline Room Alice Pratt Brown Director, Adam Weinberg, introduces the Whitney’s new Renzo Piano building and the significance of our new site. Chief Curator and Deputy Director for Programs, Donna De Salvo, introduces the inaugural exhibition, America Is Hard to See, and describes the vision for the project. Members of the Core Team: Dana Miller (Curator, Permanent Collection), Carter Foster (Steven and Ann Ames Curator of Drawing), and Scott Rothkopf (Nancy and Steve Crown Family Curator and Associate Director of Programs) join to discuss the collections initiative, the handbook project, and the long process of planning the display, including an abbreviated walk through of the key chapters on each floor.
