Whitney Biennial 2019 artist Carolyn Lazard invites guests for a collective reading of Audre Lorde's The Cancer Journals. The reading will take place in the galleries, in front of Lazard's Biennial work. A reception will follow in the Laurie M. Tisch Education Center, and refreshments will be served.
The program will be CART captioned with ASL interpretation by Maria Cardoza and Brandon Kazen-Maddox.
This event is free but registration is required.
The Hearst Artspace and the Seminar Room are equipped with induction hearing loops and infrared assistive listening systems. Accessible seating is also available.
