Artist Jorge González will activate the exhibition space by inviting collaborators to the Museum for monthly events. This reading is led by Francisca Benítez.
Francisca Benítez (b. 1974) is an artist born and raised in Chile, living and working in New York since 1998. Her practice delves into the intersections between space, politics, and language, while working with different mediums including drawing, video, photography, performance, and music. Benítez’s work has recently been shown at the New Britain Museum of American Art, the XII Havana Biennial in Cuba, the Jeu de Paume in Paris, France, and El Museo del Barrio in New York. She graduated as an architect from the University of Chile (1998) and Master in Fine Arts from Hunter College CUNY (2007).
Free with Museum admission. This event will be in English and Spanish.

El artista Jorge González activará el espacio expositivo invitando a artistas al Museo para colaboraciones mensuales. Esta performance está dirigida por Francisca Benítez.
Francisca Benítez (n. 1974) es una artista nacida y criada en Chile, que vive y trabaja en Nueva York desde 1988. Su práctica indaga en las intersecciones entre el espacio, la política y el lenguaje, trabajando con diferentes medios, incluyendo dibujo, video, fotografía, performance y música. Su trabajo ha sido recientemente exhibido en El New Britain Museum of American Art, la XII Bienal de La Habana en Cuba, el Jeu de Paume en París, Francia, y El Museo del Barrio en Nueva York. Se graduó como arquitecta de la Universidad de Chile (1988) y obtuvo una maestría en bellas artes de Hunter College, CUNY (2007).
